Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Northub Technologies handles personal information when you use our website, contact us, apply for an opportunity, or use one of our services.

Effective date: 7 September 2026

Who we are

Northub Technologies is a technology and engineering company based in Uganda. In this policy, “Northub”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Northub Technologies. This policy applies to northubtechnologies.com and the online portals and forms we operate.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact details, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company, and job title.
  • Information submitted through contact, quotation, consultation, newsletter, contributor, career, and comment forms.
  • Account and client-portal information, including login, project, document, invoice, and communication records.
  • Technical and security information, such as IP address, browser information, device information, and activity required to protect and operate our services.
  • Any other information you choose to provide to us.

Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and we have asked you to provide it securely.

How we use information

  • Respond to inquiries and prepare quotations or consultations.
  • Create and administer accounts and deliver contracted services.
  • Manage projects, payments, support requests, applications, and business communications.
  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our website and services.
  • Meet legal, regulatory, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations.
  • Send service messages and, where permitted, relevant marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing at any time.

We process personal information only where we have a lawful and fair reason, including consent, performance of a contract, a legal obligation, or a legitimate business interest that does not override your rights.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with authorised employees, professional advisers, payment providers, hosting and communications providers, or other service providers that help us operate. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect legal rights and safety, or as part of a business reorganisation. Providers may only use information for the authorised purpose and must protect it appropriately.

Some technology providers may process information outside Uganda. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protection is in place.

Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide services, resolve disputes, maintain security, and comply with legal and financial recordkeeping requirements. Retention periods vary according to the type of record and our obligations.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards to protect personal information. No website or method of electronic transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and should notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your personal information and request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Some requests may be limited by legal, security, contractual, or recordkeeping requirements.

To make a request, use our contact page. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website and portals may use cookies or browser storage that are necessary for authentication, security, preferences, and core functionality. If optional analytics or similar tools are enabled, we will handle the resulting information in accordance with this policy and applicable consent requirements. Browser settings can be used to control cookies, although blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.

Children’s privacy

Our general website and business services are not directed at children. Where an academy programme involves a minor, we will seek the involvement or consent of a parent or guardian where required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or an appropriate direct notice.
